VR Discussion

What do you think about the VR system?
Do you think it's good enough?
Do you think its fair?
Do you think the win/lose total system in Mariokart ds is better?

I for one am having a hard time staying in the 8000's.
I constantly lose 100's of VR to random disconnections, and being grouped with 9000+
racers from Japan XD

I do like VR I just hate the fact that most of the time, in a good race if you win you get roughly 50-150,
if you lose you lose 150+.

ofcourse it all depoends on what place you come in, and the VR of your opponents but I just find that
most of the time its not really fair.

Especially for DC's. I could be racing for an hour and finally gain another 1000 VR and the lose it all
in a matter of minutes to 3 consecutive DC's lol. Too bad the system cant determine an accidental
DC from the sore losers.

Maybe I should just get a better Wifi connections LOL

I dont think the VR is good enough because it should have been a higher limit than 9999. It should also look at the stars to judge the VR rising; like if a racer that can easily gain 9999VR have just started a new licence and gotten 3 stars and starts with 5000VR join a 8000-9999 room, they lose about 70VR each race for getting 2nd. the same goes to guests (they have 5000 VR every race) that is actually a 9999 racer. they shouldnt be judging VRs. Or worse... people using them as wing-men or send them at you backwards at the last lap and starr you.

And then the disconnect shit: I lost 700 VR yesterday in one race (9400-8700). I got DCd when the race was over, but the resultlist hadnt come up. I actually won the race.... (this is 2nd time this happens to me, but I lost 300 that time)

i think it is just pointless simple as that

I think its pointless for a racing game like Mario Kart. If it was something more competitive and less luck based it would be a cool feature.
