How do you train?

How do you train in brawl? Some people claim they never train.

I do, I practice combos in the 'training' mode and then try them out on level 9 CPUs.
I learn from my mistakes online, too. But I can't deal with the lag sometimes. =/

The only training I know is to just brawl, brawl or brawl....
and know the characters

I find it helps to watch a certain characters combo videos. You can google and youtube them.
There are also FAQ's and gamefaqs.com for each character that cover alot of info fromcombos
and techniques, to what characters they're good and bad against. Studying always makes you
smarter, go check it out for any characters you want to get better with and then practice the combos
in training or on lvl9's.

Oh yeah! I forgot to add that bit actually... I do watch combo videos on YouTube, and since I main Pika, I watch a certain player names Anther. (the best pika player on wi-fi) ans learn from him too. ^^

i look at combo vids and try to learn the moves but some times i get sidetracked and just throw pokeballs at the person im fighting.

I play random matches with random stages, random characters, and random items. it gets me ecstatic and is more fun.

I haven't played brawl in a while (or turn on my wii for that matter.) for like 3 MONTHS so I'm gonna do some 3 level 7 cpu's against me hopefully my skills will come back to me

my training normally is just v.s 3 level 9's added with experimenting in training mode & making completely new combo's which i enjoy & i watch combo/technique vids
